Amazon sellers face a specific set of sourcing constraints — FBA packaging rules, review sensitivity, and restock urgency — that generic sourcing agents often miss. Six years operating my own Amazon accounts means I’ve hit these constraints myself, not learned them from a checklist.
Buyer profile
Who this serves
- Private label sellers launching new SKUs on Amazon US, UK, and EU marketplaces.
- Established sellers restocking existing SKUs with tightening lead times.
- Sellers migrating from a bad first supplier and rebuilding on a better one.
- Sellers adding a variation, colour, or size to an existing winning listing.
- Buyers preparing for Q4 with 4–6 months of runway to lock production.
Workflow
How I work with buyers in this segment
01
FBA-compliant specifications
Every quote I send factories includes the FBA packaging spec (poly-bag suffocation warning, barcode placement, master carton labelling) up front. Factories that cannot commit to it do not stay on the shortlist.
02
Sample stress-test
I stress-test samples the way an Amazon customer would in the first 30 days. If a design flaw exists, it surfaces in the sample round, not in a wave of 3-star reviews.
03
Trial FBA shipment
First orders ship to my consolidation partner for a final inbound inspection before Amazon receives them. Prevents rejected shipments and mislabelled units.
04
Reorder lead-time discipline
I map factory production calendar against your Amazon inventory forecast. You get restock POs placed 60 days before you would have run out, not 10 days after.
Questions
Common questions
How is Amazon sourcing different from generic sourcing?
Amazon punishes quality more visibly than any other channel — reviews accumulate for months. Amazon also enforces packaging and labelling rules that a factory unfamiliar with FBA will get wrong. Both drive different vetting and different inspection standards.
Can you help with existing suppliers I already use?
Yes — supplier improvement, price re-negotiation, or transitioning to a better factory are all common projects. I don’t require every engagement to start with a blank sheet.
